Over 3,000 hockey players suited up for Junior A games this past season in Canada and Trappers forward Tait Seguin is one of ten finalists from across the country for the RBC Junior Hockey League Player of the Year Award.

The North Bay Junior A Trappers can send Kirkland Lake to the off-season Monday night, 3 Ice Boltz girls hockey teams won gold in Ottawa and a local trampolinist was competing in a national event on the weekend.

First ever draft pick for North Bay Battalion (UPDATED)

The first ever North Bay Battalion draft pick is Brett McKenzie (pictured above) of the Oakville Rangers.  The OHL team selected the centre 10th overall in the priority selection draft Saturday morning.

UQTR Draws First Blood Versus Lakers; Trappers win

The 2nd round of the OUA playoffs got underway Wednesday night for the Nipissing Lakers, the North Bay Junior A Trappers moved up the NOJHL standings, both Lakers Volleyball teams are at the OCAA Championships and the Senior Women’s Provincial Curling Championship is getting underway in North Bay.
