The North Bay Battalion have announced they have hired another assistant coach. 51 year old John Goodwin, a Toronto native joins Ryan Oulahen in working under general manager and head coach Stan Butler.
Over 3,000 hockey players suited up for Junior A games this past season in Canada and Trappers forward Tait Seguin is one of ten finalists from across the country for the RBC Junior Hockey League Player of the Year Award.

The 2nd round of the OUA playoffs got underway Wednesday night for the Nipissing Lakers, the North Bay Junior A Trappers moved up the NOJHL standings, both Lakers Volleyball teams are at the OCAA Championships and the Senior Women’s Provincial Curling Championship is getting underway in North Bay.
The Nipissing Lakers hope to improve on their 6th place standings this weekend. They have a pair of games; at home Friday night against Ryerson and Saturday night in Kingston against Queens.
