The federal government has announced $216,000 in Fednor funding for North Bay’s MetricAid.

The money will enable the company which develops software solutions for hospitals to expand internationally.

As a result of the funding, CEO of Metric Aid Les Blackwell told BayToday 6 jobs will be created.

“Two of them filled, we’re filling two of them right now. We’re working with IION and MARS to fill an executive marketing position and then 1 more to be filled in September,” he says.
MP Anthony Rota who announced the funding will enable MetricAid to expand internationally to Great Britain.

“By allowing them to expand and to expand to other markets helps the economy of Canada and specifically Nipissing-Timiskaming and North Bay,” Rota says.

Under the conditions of the funding the money will be re-paid by Metric Aid.
