The North Bay Bulldogs football organization has appealed to council for the city to construct change rooms for their players at the Omischl Sports Complex.

Coach Marc Mathon says right now the players have to change outside.

“Changing in the parking lot, on the grass, in the stands, in front where the bathrooms are, underneath the canopy in the back. It’s outside all over the place,” he says.
He says 9 years ago they were asked to play their games at the Omischl and they received indication form the city that change rooms would be constructed but not right away and nothing’s happened.

He says the Northern Football Conference rules stipulate that the home team must supply change room areas for the visiting team and the officials close to the field.

He says they used to play at Rollie Fisher Field

. Mathon says they are not against returning to Rollie Fisher but the field would need be fenced in.
