The newly elected Progressive Conservative caucus is getting ready for their first meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) at Queen’s Park.

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli is looking forward to celebrating with the 75 other PC members of the Legislature, including nearly 50 new colleagues.

“But, I know we’re going to get right to work. I know our leader, Premier-elect Doug Ford has a very aggressive agenda to start to bring relief to families and he wants to deliver on it,” he says.

Fedeli has been busy meeting with area mayors, with his tenth meeting happening today.

He has also met with Ontario Northland, the North Bay Regional Health Centre and other provincial agencies to get a handle on their priorities.

One of the big priorities is getting the Cassellholme redevelopment going.

“When I left the mayors chair in 2010 I had already seen the architectural drawings for Cassellholme and here we are eight years later and there’s no shovel in the ground,” he says.

Another priority is the need to rebuild the Lady Isabelle Nursing Home in Trout Creek.

The new Doug Ford government takes over June 29th.
