Several events are taking place around the area this weekend.

New, classic and special interest car and motorcycle owners are converging on Downtown North Bay tomorrow (Saturday).

The 10th annual Cruisin’ Downtown event is free and runs from 10 am to 4 pm.

Automotive journalist Jim Kenzie is bringing his own special interest vehicle this year.

Trophies and prizes are up for grabs in eight categories.

 

North Bay Police are holding their annual public auction tomorrow in the back parking lot of police headquarters on Princess Street West.

Items that are seized, found or turned in and not claimed are put up for auction on an annual basis.

Funds raised go to the police services board and are then donated to various charities and events.

A preview of items goes at 8 am, with the auction at 9 am.

 

The East Ferris Tradeshow is back for a fifth year on Saturday.

Local businesses, regional partners and entrepreneurs are all being showcased.

There’s inflatables, face-painting, Zumba and martial arts demonstrations, a photo booth and much more.

The event runs from 8 am to 4 pm at the East Ferris Community Centre.

 

TP North Bay is just over halfway to their goal of 20,000 rolls of donated toilet paper as they hold their final donation drop-off tomorrow.

They’ll be set up at FreshCo from 10 am to 2 pm, with Miss Heartbeat Nicole Renaud joining them.

The toilet paper will be distributed to local food banks on Monday.

 

Carlson Sports is hosting their 7th annual Ride For The Cause tomorrow in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

The round trip motorcycle ride is about 164 km and starts at 11 am at Carlson Sports on Hwy 17.

The cost to enter is $25 with a BBQ and silent auction afterwards.

All proceeds are going to the Heart and Stroke Foundation to fund research.
