Cassellholme Redevelopment will be the focus of a councillor motion in the first council meeting of the month.

Councillor Chris Mayne will be calling on the Cassellhome board and member municipalities to financially support the redevelopment of Cassellholme.

There’s also a motion from Councillor Mark King calling on council to declare the upcoming Ford World Women’s Curling championship as an event of municipal significance.

It starts on Saturday and continues until March 25th.

There’s a public presentation from Jay Aspin on the Downtown Waterfront Advisory Committee and  there’s one on the splash pad, the Veterans Sports Complex Design and reconstruction and an amendment to the accessible parking bylaw.

With no committee meeting tonight’s meeting starts at 6:30.
