Powassan OPP have charged five people from Southern Ontario after a report of a vehicle driving dangerously on Hwy 11 on Sunday afternoon.

Police say the vehicle, which was stolen out of Toronto was travelling at almost twice the posted speed limit of 100 km/h.

The vehicle failed to stop for police and was located on Highway 17, on it’s roof.

Police say two occupants were quickly located while the canine unit assisted in finding the others.

All five were were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

They’re charged with possession of property obtained by crime.

One 34-year-old faces eight charges, including flight from police, dangerous operation of a vehicle and driving while disqualified.
