The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund is supporting 51 film and tv projects in Northeastern Ontario with nearly $34 million in funding,

Many of the projects were or are being shot here including Cardinal, Carter, Season 5 of Hard Rock Medical, Flower Shop Mysteries movies, Angel Falls and two movies with biblical themes Peter and Joseph and Mary.

The Ontario government, through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation, is investing $33.8 million in 51 film and television projects in Northeastern Ontario.

Investments in television production projects include:

Read This Productions is receiving $2.3 million to produce the TV series “Cardinal: By The Time You Read This”;
Cardinal Black Fly Productions is receiving $2.7 million to shoot the TV series “Cardinal: Black Fly Season”;
Collingwood TV Productions is receiving $3.5 million to produce the TV series “Carter”;
TVO is receiving $800,000 to film season 5 of the “Hard Rock Medical” TV program;
Food Market Films Inc. is receiving $1.4 million to produce “Bad Blood, The Vito Rizzuto Story”
Groupe Média TFO is receiving $762,000 to shoot “Amélie et Compagnie” (23 to 44)
Canadian Spirits (Mini Series 1) Inc. is receiving $75,260 to shoot the “Canadian Spirits”, animated TV series

Serendipity Point Films is receiving $1 million to produce “Through Black Spruce”
Riot Girls Film Inc is receiving $500,000 to produce “Riot Girls”
Paragraph Pictures is receiving $500,000 to shoot “The Bet”
Impossible Things Production is receiving $500,000 to produce “Impossible Things”
Pyewacket JoBro Productions is receiving $500,000 to shoot “Pyewacket”

Sawasquirrel Productions Inc. is receiving $35,913 to set-up a post-production business
Greenboots Media Company Ltd. is receiving $6,250 to acquire specialized technology
