Canadian Tire and the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police are working together to support young people.

Canadian Tire has a Jumpstart program which helps kids between the ages of 4-18 who may have financial challenges get the opportunity to compete.

All the money raised by the local Jumpstart chapter stays in the community and since 2005, $117,000 has been raised in West Nipissing.

On Tuesday, the Canadian Tire in Sturgeon Falls received a $500 donation from the West Nipissing Police Services Board. Funds will be collected during the Parade of Lights later this week.
