The success of painting community murals outside Mac’s convenience stores in North Bay has led to an idea of improving areas damaged by graffiti.

North Bay Police Chief Shawn Devine says the main artist involved with the two murals, Magic Finga Wong, wants to come back back to North Bay and make a difference .

“He wants to come forward. He wants to do a ride along with me to actually check out the city and where some of the areas are. He’ll put on classes for some of the aspiring artists,” Devine says.

Chief Devine says they’re trying to get the message out to graffiti artists to use their talents in a positive direction and not by damaging public property.
