The North Bay Granite Club is holding an Open House tonight (Wednesday).

You can learn about all the events that go on during curling season.

Lisa Weagle is a lead on the Rachel Homan women’s world championship team.

She was asked about advice for someone thinking about starting out in the sport.

“I would say give it a try. Don’t worry about how good you are at the beginning. It’s one of those things where you leave making one or two good shots it’s got you hooked and wanting to play some more,”she says.

There’s also registration tonight for beginners, adults, youth, experienced players, individuals and teams.

The open house and registration is from 7-9 pm.

The annual general meeting starts at 6 pm.

The 2018 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship are taking place at North Bay’s Memorial Gardens in March 2018.
