Recently Gateway Casinos and Entertainment signed a contract with Ontario Lottery and Gaming for casinos in Northern Ontario.

The agreement current casinos in Thunder Bay and the Sault, one to be built in Sudbury and new ones in North Bay and Kenora.

There’s a lot we still don’t know about the North Bay casino.

Rob Mitchell is with public affairs at Gateway.

He says they need a site and that is still being looked at by Gateway and the city.

He says in terms of a location in the city they have architectural standards that have to be met, need enough parking and an accessible location for the North Bay population and visitors too.

Mitchell says Gateway believes they’ll be a job creator in terms of the 200 positions at the casino but also they’ll provide extra benefits for the city too.
