Three students at St Joseph-Scollard Hall will be expanding their horizons this summer.

Grade 11 student Matthew McParland (pictured above) has been accepted into the SHAD program which invites 800 students from across the country to engage in STEM subjects and that includes science, technology, engineering and math.

Meantime, student Samantha McKinley and Grade 9 student Sarah Selander (pictured) have been accepted into an elite program for girls called Think About Math.

They will be going to the University of Waterloo to learn about the environment, the stock market and social networking.
