7 pilot projects sites have been determined and one of them is the North Bay Military Family Resource Centre.

The pilot project is for those military members who are being released from the military for medical reasons.

Lieutenant Colonel Marc DeLisle is the Commander of 21 Squadron says this is very exciting as it provides a transition for military members for those that are leaving from 6 months before release to 2 years after.

He says this is a big change from the past when you had nowhere to go.

Now he says you have a transition time period to adjust to your new life.

He says this will also benefit the members family.

The services will include intervention support, employment and education and personal growth and development programs.

1,200 Canadian Armed Forces personnel are released per year for medical reasons.
