Steve HarlandLast year Steve Harland was the MVP of the NOJHL, now he has 20 points with the North Bay Battalion in the OHL including a big goal in yesterday’s (Sunday) win.

Harland and the Battalion defeated the Sudbury Wolves 5-3.

After the game Harland said he has been working hard on developing his game overall.

Harlands goal gave the Battalion a 4-1 lead in the third.

The Troops trailed by a goal after the first, but two goals at the end of the second gave them a lead, and they added three more in the third.

Battlion Head Coach Stan Butler says he was happy with the win.

The Troops got a goal from newcomer Maurizio Colella to tie the game, then Mike Amadio gave them the lead on a power play goal.

Amadio would add a short-handed goal in the third and Butler says Amadio has developed into a true leader for this team.

Brett McKenzie also scored for North Bay, while Jake Kment got his 14th start of the year and picked up his 5th win making 20 saves on 23 shots.

The Battalion are back into the win column for the first time in four games and will take on the Guelph Storm on Thursday at Memorial Gardens.
