Marina Point expansion plans moving forward

An expansion in the works for Marina Point after they purchased 0.18 acres of land from Heritage North Bay.

Chair of Engineering and Works Tanya Vrebosch says the sale is about $40,000 and approved by the City.

She says that money will really help out Heritage North Bay.

Vrebosch says Heritage North Bay, which includes the Museum, the Gardeners and the Train and Carousel, don’t make money so this will allow them to bring in some much needed cash.

She says the fact the city has one and is staying viable is great to see.

Vrebosch says Marina Point’ purchase will allow the Retirement Village to expand upon their current site.
