Police (north bay)A busy weekend for North Bay Police with 245 calls for service. nine people were charged for various offenses including mischief under 5 Thousand Dollars, assault police officer, uttering threats, assault with a weapon, mischief, trafficking in a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, public intoxication and domestic assault.  As well, A 40 year old city man is facing charges following a weekend disturbance. 

Police say Buck Jerry Bellaire has been charged with mischief under 5 Thousand Dollars, assault police officer and breach. 

Police say this incident began when two people were arguing Saturday night at a multi residential building in the city. When another resident got involved about the noise the following morning an argument ensued. Police say a door was damaged and when police were called an officer was assaulted.

Also, North Bay Police have charged a 46 year old city male following a domestic violence incident.  Police say on Saturday a verbal argument between a male and female turned violent. Police say they received a call from a female who was concerned about her safety. Police say the male was arrested and charged with uttering threats and received a provincial offenses notice for public intoxication. The name of the accused has not been released to protect the identity of the victim.

And A 19 year old is facing charges following a domestic violence incident.. Police say last Wednesday, an argument between a couple turned violent when a male was hit with an object by a female. Police say there was also damage done to the residence. The 19 year old has been charged with assault with a weapon and mischief. The name of the accused has not been released to protect the identity of the victim.

Also, A 54 year old Arnstein woman is facing several drug related charges. The charges against Darlene Walters were laid after police seized items at a search during a traffic stop.

Police say the woman has been charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime

. Police say they seized 200 Percocet pills and  200 Morphine pills with an estimated street value of 15 Thousand Dollars. 

As well, police seized over 14 hundred dollars in Canadian currency and a vehicle.
