Hockey season is almost here, as the Troops return to North Bay. Battalion players are set to begin training camp this week, with Intrasquad Games starting Thursday. Forward Calvin Gomes hasn’t played in an OHL game since December of 2013 because of re-occuring shoulder injuries. He says  he hopes that won’t change his approach once the games begin. He says “I’m usually the agressive one, first one in on the forecheck, throwing the body and I think my shoulder right now can allow me to continue to do that.” Gomes was an eight round pick in the 2012 OHL priority selection. The intrasquad games are open to the public, with the first one at 4pm at Memorial Gardens on Thursday.
