Summer in the Park 621x309 CKAT

North Bay’s big summer event is here.

This year’s version of Summer In the Park is tonight with Country Music being the theme for the big concerts. Chair John Strang says tonight’s entertainment includes performances by Autumn Hill at 7:40pm, Michelle Wright at 8:30pm and Johnny Reid at 9:40pm.

Outside of the concerts the midway is open from 1-11pm, there’a a fakes and forgeries exhibit at the Discovery North Bay Museum from 10am-8pm, and all the vendors will be selling their products from 4-11pm.

Strang says as as Thursday afternoon they had sold 5300 wrist bands and that’s 2000 more than last years final total.

Wrist bands are $50 and Strang says that’s a great deal for two nights of entertainment.

Saturday will include performances from Allan Frew with the songs of Glass Tiger and Burton Cummings. Frew will be on the stage at 8:10pm and then Cummings at 9:30pm. Meantime, a reminder that pets are not allowed on the grounds during the festival.
