battalionThe games now count in the OHL as the playoffs get underway for the North Bay Battalion.

They have home ice advantage for their first round playoff series against the Kingston Frontenacs.

Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler was asked if his players can rely on anything from last year’s deep playoff run.

The Battalion enter the post-season as the number three team in the Eastern Conference.

Butler talked about the preparation for his team going into the series.

The Troops held a 3-1 regular season series advantage over the Frontenacs.

Butler was asked how they plan to contain the Calgary Flames fourth overall NHL draft pick Sam Bennett.

Bennett has 24 points in 11 games after a shoulder injury sidelined him most of the year.

This will be just the second time the Battalion franchise faces Kingston in the post-season.

The last meeting was 2009-2010 with the Troops defeating Kingston 4 games to 3 in the first round.

Broadcast time for Game One tonight is 6:35pm on Country-600 CKAT.
